Our business was founded by a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for solving problems. Consequently, we consider our most important skills to be our ability to listen and question until we are certain we know the goals, business processes, and needs of our clients.
Vanguard Custom Software's core mission is to create simple applications which solve complex problems. To do so, we utilize a goal directed research and design process to fully understand who will be using the application and what they need to accomplish.
We account for the cognitive abilities and limitations of the human beings that use our software, and deliver applications that are simple and straightforward. While other developers may encourage users to "just read the manual," we believe if the software is not self-evident, we have failed in our mission.
Vanguard Custom Software continues a multi-generational family tradition of building small companies with a focus on excellence and a commitment to personal relationships. The first of these companies was established in the 1940's when America was locked in a race to be the first in space. The name Vanguard was chosen, then and now, as a homage to the best and brightest and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
